ST. CLAIR ORPHANAGE AND
REHABILITATION HOME:
St.
Clare Orphanage and Rehabilitation Home was established in
January, 2005 by the Franciscan Sisters of St. Joseph on the
grounds of St. Teresa Montessori Nursery School in Kisumu.
Its mission is to give hope to
desperate orphans and families and to provide care and
support. It
opened with 22 orphans who were mostly HIV+ whose parents died
of AIDS. Many of
them were already on anti retroviral AIDS medication, but were
badly in need of nutritious food and secure shelter.....

ST. LUCY SECONDARY GIRLS
SCHOOL: St.
Lucy’s in Raruowa is a Catholic mission secondary school that
helps supplement the government’s efforts to uplift the status
of female children. It has a capacity for 320 girls. The school
was built in 1972 by the Mill Hill Fathers. The buildings in the
parish and church compound have deteriorated over time and badly
needs repair.....

B WOMENS GROUP: The
Apamo B Womens Group was established in 1998 with the goal of
economic empowerment of its members, raising the standard
of living, and integrating the social classes of the community.
It is a community based organization situated in Kanyongo and
the Wadhgone- Nyongo sublocations of the west Kavachuonyo
Division of the Rachuonyo District. The group is
registered with the Ministry of Culture and Social Services in
the Rachuonyo District......
